The wall-mount enclosure is the most common enclosure format in shops and buildings: 300–800 mm wide, 150–350 mm deep, primarily SPCC cold-rolled steel, 304 stainless steel for food and damp environments, aluminum where weight matters. It mounts to the wall via four rear fixing points or a rear hook plate, and houses small PLCs, miniature circuit breakers, contactors and terminal blocks — one box handles power feed and control for a floor or a single machine. We reinforce the mounting points and seal the rear panel, two details others routinely skip.

03 — CRAFT

Build details

Systems have been in service for decades, and the failure points are always the same few: poor busbar contact, water ingress at the door seal, high temperature rise in the correction cabinet, and mis-phased outgoing feeders. The six hard rules below are written for exactly these points — every cabinet can be traced to them.

Four-point reinforcement

Mounting points won't bite into thin sheet

Backing plates welded inside the back plate mounting points, then tapped after welding, so M8 bolts bite into the backing plate — tapping directly into 1.5 mm enclosure sheet to hang 100 kg is a risky practice, and we don't do it.

Counterbore sealing

Wall moisture stays out of the enclosure

Mounting holes are counterbored with sealing washers, so the holes are fully sealed once the bolts are tightened; with plain through-holes, damp walls let moisture travel through the hole into the enclosure.

1.5x load test

It has to hold, and keep holding

Sampled units from each production run are statically loaded at 1.5x rated load for 10 minutes; deformation and mounting point thread condition are recorded unit by unit, and nothing ships until it passes.

Full-perimeter gasket

One break ruins the whole loop

The foamed door frame gasket runs continuously around the full perimeter with no breaks, and the corners are joined and bonded at 45°; after the three-point (two-point) lock is compressed, the visible compression marks are continuous.

Pre-installed DIN rail

Install components right out of the box

35 mm DIN rail and wiring duct are pre-installed to drawing with module holes aligned, so the customer can mount components immediately on opening the box and skip a round of on-site hole modification.

Rounded corners

No dead corners in a stainless steel enclosure

The 304 enclosure has rounded internal and external corners with brushed finish following the grain, so washdown in food plants leaves no crevices where residue can build up.

Floor distribution

A wall-mounted enclosure for building or floor-level distribution with miniature circuit breakers and terminals; installs on the mounting points left by the builder.

Machine-side control

Start-stop and protection control for a single machine, wall-mounted nearby to save floor space.

Lighting control

Timer or photocell control of lighting branch circuits for corridors and plant lighting zones.

Pump room / water treatment

For damp locations: 304 stainless steel + IP65, resistant to condensation and moisture.

Six questions procurement and electrical engineers ask most

How much weight can a wall-mounted enclosure carry?

Four-point M8 reinforced mounting: ≤120 kg at full load; hook-mounted: ≤60 kg. Above that, go with a floor-standing cabinet — not because the wall can't hold it, but because the fatigue risk at the mounting points under long-term vibration isn't worth taking.

What are the wall requirements?

Concrete or solid brick walls: four-point expansion bolts directly. Hollow brick and lightweight partition walls: through-wall threaded rods with a backing plate, or a floor support. The mounting plan is documented in the delivery package.

What material for a damp workshop?

For general damp conditions, SPCC with IP65. For washdown, food-grade, or coastal salt-fog environments, go straight to 304 stainless steel — don't count on a coating to survive washdown.

Are transparent doors reliable?

A PC (polycarbonate) transparent door has impact resistance dozens of times that of ordinary glass, and you can check indicator lights without opening the door. The downside is it scratches over time; for high-frequency access, we recommend a metal door with a viewing window.

Can it match the dimensions of the box already installed?

Yes. The biggest risk when replacing an old box is that the mounting holes won't line up with the wall. Send us the old box's outer dimensions and mounting hole spacing, and we'll build to the original dimensions and hole positions for a direct drop-in replacement.

Minimum order and lead time?

MOQ 1 unit. Standard sizes ship within 15 days; custom builds 15–25 days. For volume orders (≥20 units), priority scheduling is negotiable.
