Build details
Systems have been in service for decades, and the failure points are always the same few: poor busbar contact, water ingress at the door seal, high temperature rise in the correction cabinet, and mis-phased outgoing feeders. The six hard rules below are written for exactly these points — every cabinet can be traced to them.
Level logic fixed in firmware
Start / stop / alarm levels and rotation logic are hard-coded to the process and delivered with the interlock documentation: the pump house runs unattended, and the logic does not depend on what a commissioning technician decides on site.
Equalized running hours
Duty/standby pumps rotate automatically by running hours to equalize wear — no more "one pump runs until it dies, the other rusts in place." We manage the pump life ledger for you inside the cabinet.
Raised above floor level
The cabinet's channel-steel base sits above the pump house floor, with incoming and outgoing cables routed toward the cable trench: in a semi-basement pump house, the cabinet stays dry first — a flooded pump can be replaced, but a flooded cabinet takes down the whole station.
Heater + ventilation, dual protection
In hot, humid pump houses, condensation is heavy day and night: a thermostatically controlled anti-condensation heater plus a linked ventilation circuit keep the interior dry and the components free of corrosion.
Full sequence simulated at the factory
A signal generator simulates level changes, and the start/stop, rotation, automatic failure changeover and alarm sequences are all powered up and run through end to end — on site you only calibrate the level transmitter.
Reporting activated on demand
RS485 is reserved and pre-commissioned (current / status / level reporting). Once the pump station platform is built, connect directly; if no platform is built, the system still runs locally — no dead-end, no half-finished integration.

What is the difference between a pump station distribution cabinet and buying a few pump control cabinets and wiring them together?
Assembled design: incoming line, pump circuits, level interlocking and auxiliary circuits are engineered together in one cabinet, with interlock logic fixed at the factory and full-unit testing. A pieced-together setup means field wiring, commissioning and split responsibility across suppliers. For projects with tight pump house space and short schedules, an assembled cabinet gets it right the first time.
Should the level transmitter be a float switch or a static pressure / ultrasonic type?
Float switch: inexpensive and reliable, moderate accuracy, and often tangled by debris in wastewater stations with heavy screening. Static pressure: continuous signal, supports staged control, choose a clog-resistant type for wastewater. Ultrasonic: non-contact, maintenance-free, higher cost. For high control accuracy such as staged pump starts, use a continuous signal; for simple start/stop, a float switch is sufficient.
How does duty/standby rotation work?
Automatic duty/standby rotation by cumulative running hours: after pump A reaches the set hours, pump B takes priority next time, balancing wear. If the running pump faults, the standby pump starts automatically and an alarm is raised. The rotation strategy is documented in the interlock description and can be set on site.
What should be considered for a semi-underground pump house?
Flood protection (raised cabinet base + incoming cables routed in trenches), moisture protection (heater + forced ventilation), dual power supply (water ingress and power loss often occur together). Send us the pump house section drawing and we will provide the layout and foundation plan based on elevation.
Can it connect to a pump station remote platform?
RS485 / Modbus is standard: pump status, current, level and alarms are reported, and remote start/stop authorization can be enabled. If the platform is not built yet, run locally first with the interface reserved for later connection. For unmanned facilities like pump stations, remote monitoring will be needed sooner or later.
How do you replace cabinets when retrofitting an old pump house?
Evaluate reuse of existing pumps and level transmitters: pump circuits are configured to the old pump parameters, and level transmitters are connected by model. The cabinet is custom-built to the actual pump house space and cable entry direction. Send site photos and pump parameters and we will provide a retrofit plan free of charge.
