Five steps to specify your run

Build details
Systems have been in service for decades, and the failure points are always the same few: poor busbar contact, water ingress at the door seal, high temperature rise in the correction cabinet, and mis-phased outgoing feeders. The six hard rules below are written for exactly these points — every cabinet can be traced to them.
Circuits by use
Lighting, sockets, AC, and kitchen/bath each run on their own circuit: a fault affects the smallest possible area, and when a breaker trips you know where to look. Circuits are divided by use, not by room count — that is the basics of a terminal box.
Phase and neutral break together
Outgoing circuits use 1P+N double-break MCBs: phase and neutral open together during service, so even the wrong wire is dead — costs only a few yuan more per pole than single-break 1P, but a different order of safety.
30 mA on damp circuits
Receptacle, kitchen and bathroom circuits all get 30 mA leakage protection — personal safety is not a cost-benefit question. The main leakage device handles fire protection (300 mA); the two levels work independently.
No flying leads
Distribution is crimped onto a comb busbar — no wire knots inside the box. Adding a circuit later means pulling one slot and plugging in; existing wiring stays untouched.
No guesswork at handover
Circuit labels plus a laminated system diagram inside the door ship with the box. At handover, read the diagram and call out the names — anyone can see which breaker controls which circuit.
No rework on flush mounts
Flush-mount boxes are sized with enough clear depth for wire gauge and bend radius, and the rough-in frame is leveled during installation — ten extra minutes at the civil works stage means no wall demolition later.

Six questions procurement and electrical engineers ask most
How many circuits do I need?
By function, not by room: 2–3 lighting circuits, 2–3 general receptacle circuits, 1 circuit per AC unit, 1–2 kitchen circuits, 1 bathroom circuit, plus 20% spare. A three-bedroom home typically runs 18–24 ways. Send us your floor plan and we will produce a circuit schedule free of charge.
1P or 1P+N?
1P breaks only the phase; 1P+N breaks phase and neutral together. During service, the neutral can carry voltage from another circuit — 1P+N isolates cleanly. The price difference is a few yuan per pole. We default to 1P+N rather than save small change and leave a hazard.
Leakage protection on the main or on branch circuits?
Personal protection comes from 30 mA branch devices (receptacles / kitchen / bathroom); fire protection comes from a 100/300 mA main device — the two levels work together. A main device alone saves money, but one leaking circuit blacks out the whole home. On a tight budget, at minimum put branch leakage protection on damp locations.
When does the flush-mount box arrive on site?
The rough-in frame arrives before plastering (cutout dimension drawings ship with it); the trim frame and door go in during finish work — a two-stage delivery. Finalize the system diagram before electrical rough-in to avoid changing circuits on site.
Can SPD be included?
Yes: standalone buildings and end-of-line supply points should have a Type 2 SPD module (plug-in, replaceable when degraded); buildings with upstream distribution room protection can simplify. In high-lightning areas, specify SPD as standard.
What should I watch for when replacing an old panel?
Three things to check: circuit-by-circuit 1:1 correspondence (keep the original numbering), incoming supply spec verification (does the old wire gauge match the new breaker), and grounding confirmation (for older homes with no ground wire, resolve the grounding first or use residual current protection as an alternative).
