GGD is the most widely used fixed-type low-voltage distribution cabinet type in China. 1. What Is a GGD Cabinet? (Fixed-Type Low-Voltage Switchgear)

GGD is afixed-mount, front-operated, side-accesslow-voltage distribution cabinet, with cabinet widths of 600/800/1000/1200mm and depths of 600/800mm. Compared with GCS/MNS (drawer-type), GGD components are fixed-mounted, lower cost and better heat dissipation, making it suitable for applications that do not require frequent circuit changes.

What does GGD mean?

GGD is the national standard cabinet type designation for low-voltage fixed-type distribution cabinets: G = fixed type, G = AC, D = distribution cabinet.

How to choose between 600mm and 800mm depth for GGD cabinets?

For busbar ≤ 630A, 600mm depth is sufficient; for ≥ 630A or when large maintenance space is needed, choose 800mm depth.

Can GGD be used as a VFD panel?

Yes, but VFDs generate significant heat and require cooling fans or a separate VFD panel enclosure. It is not recommended to fit them into a standard GGD.

What certifications are needed for GGD export?

CE (LVD+EMC) is the minimum requirement for the EU. Golden Unicorn GGD has passed CE + ISO 9001 and can provide IP65 test reports.
