The onboard environment tests an electrical cabinet on every front: ① Salt spray — the wet, salt-laden air at sea is highly corrosive, so enclosure surface treatment, sealing, and terminals must meet a salt-spray standard one grade above land-based requirements. ② Vibration and inclination — hull vibration plus rolling and pitching in heavy seas means components and connectors need anti-loosening measures. ③ The engine room equipment being controlled (pumps, fans, windlass) must interface with the vessel's monitoring and alarm system. We build control cabinets for marine equipment OEMs, with enclosures and components treated to marine environmental requirements and documentation supplied to project requirements.
