Extruder Control Cabinet Package: Operating Conditions, Cabinet Types & Custom Build Points
Application Scenarios
Extrusion control comes down to temperature and speed. ① Heating — multi-zone barrel heating (up to a dozen or more zones), each zone with independent PID, thermocouple temperature sensing per zone, and large heater band circuit currents requiring per-zone protection. ② Speed — main motor speed control determines output and quality; VFD or DC drive is selected by model, and must be coordinated with haul-off and pelletizing speeds. ③ Interlocking — the start/stop sequence of the main unit, feeding, and cooling is critical; the wrong sequence will jam the machine. We build control cabinets for extruder manufacturers, with multi-zone temperature control and speed coordination configured to the model, and simulated load testing before shipment.
