Petrochemical Plant Control Cabinet Solutions: Operating Conditions, Cabinet Types & Custom Build Points
Application Scenarios
Electrical cabinets in petrochemical plants face two specific conditions: ① Environment — unit areas contain corrosive gases (hydrogen sulfide, chloride atmospheres), and ordinary enclosures rust out and fail within a few years; ② Safety — electrical equipment near Ex-classified areas is subject to strict admission requirements. Our approach is to select the supply path based on the site's area classification and process media: instrument boxes inside the Ex-classified area go through joint supply with an Ex-qualified manufacturer, with verifiable Ex certificates; control cabinets outside the classified area are produced in-house, with anti-corrosion coating plus 316L stainless steel or fiberglass enclosures; signal acquisition and interlock logic are configured per the plant interlock diagrams, and incoming/outgoing cable glands are matched to the site cable specifications.
