Commercial building power distribution has a few distinctive characteristics: (1) Load classification — lighting, HVAC, elevators and fire loads have different supply classes, so automatic transfer switch (ATS) and bus tie configuration must follow the load classification. (2) Metering boundaries — tenant metering for shops and centralized metering for common areas require a one-to-one match between meters and circuits. (3) Fire alarm interfaces — non-essential power cut commands and fire damper monitoring are the handover points with the fire alarm system where problems most often occur, so interface definitions must be agreed up front. We build distribution cabinets to the building electrical drawings, execute dual-source transfer, metering and interlock interfaces to drawing, and run transfer logic tests before shipment.
