Common causes of gasket failure

• Material not oil- or temperature-resistant (outdoor cabinets need a weather-resistant grade);
• Excessive compression causes permanent deformation;
• No continuity at corners and cutouts — spray water enters through the gaps;
• Door distortion (insufficient sheet thickness and bending accuracy).
